A dependable starting point for horses new to contact. The SmoothRide Eggbutt Snaffle's sanded stainless steel mouthpiece delivers a smooth, comfortable feel that's generally well accepted without being harsh, and its curved, anatomically shaped lozenge creates mild tongue relief in the classic position.
Flip it "upside down" and it offers mild bar relief instead -- a handy way to learn whether your horse prefers pressure toward the center of the tongue or toward the bars. Fixed eggbutt rings add stability for young horses and help prevent pinching in draft horses with fleshy mouths.
