Temperature is only one piece of blanketing. Your horse's coat, body condition, age, and how much shelter they've got all change how much blanket they actually need. A clipped horse needs help sooner than one with a full winter coat; a hard keeper needs it sooner than one in good weight.

We carry heavyweight, midweight, and lightweight turnout blankets so you can match what's actually happening outside, rather than reaching for the same "warm enough" blanket every night and hoping it's right. Check under the blanket occasionally — if your horse feels damp or hot, you've overshot it.

All three weights are cut for a real draft frame, not a standard blanket stretched to a bigger size. Check your horse's measurement against each listing, since fit varies slightly by weight and style.
