Collection: New Draft Necessities

Just brought home a draft, or added one to your herd, and nothing you already own fits? You're not alone. Draft tack isn't always something you can grab off a standard shelf, and figuring out where to start can eat up a whole weekend.

This collection is the short list: a properly sized halter and leadrope, a gentle, evenly-distributed bit, a bridle that won't leave you improvising with a hole punch, and the basics for fly season and turnout. A good bareback pad is in here, too. It'll get you some ride time in, so you can work on finding a saddle that actually fits, instead of settling for the first one that sort of works.

Start here, get your new horse comfortable, then come back to fill in the rest as you figure out what they actually need.
