The SmoothRide Baucher's sanded stainless steel mouthpiece and anatomically curved lozenge with a copper roller create mild tongue relief and encourage salivation and acceptance -- especially with horses that resist the flat links of a classic double-jointed snaffle.
The Baucher (hanging cheek) design lifts the bit away from the bars for the most stability of any cheekpiece style, preventing it from sliding through the mouth. That makes it a strong choice for draft horses with worn teeth, where stability matters most, or for younger horses that respond well to mild bar or poll pressure.
