Leather Draft Turnout Halter with Engraved Nameplate

A sturdy but beautiful leather halter made for the big horse in your barn. This turnout halter from Perri's Leather is cut in a true Draft size from 1" leather in black or Havana brown, so it fits a draft head properly rather than being a horse-size halter squeezed onto one.

Each one is made to order with a brass nameplate engraved with up to two lines of your choice: your horse's name, barn name, farm, or phone number. The plate is 3/4" x 4-1/4", English style, and finished to match the halter's hardware. It attaches with Chicago screws, so it can come off or be swapped later without cutting any stitching. Good for everyday turnout, the trailer, or the show grounds.

Engraving instructions: Before checking out, add these to the order notes box in your cart:

1. Your text, exactly as you want it on the plate. For two lines, label them "Line 1" and "Line 2."
2. Your lettering style. There are six to choose from, shown in the last product photo. Give the number of the one you want.

If you're ordering more than one halter, note which engraving and lettering style goes with each one. If anything's missing, I'll email you to confirm before the order goes to the maker.

Fit note: This halter adjusts to fit full drafts. Draft crosses often end up on or near the smallest hole, and some may need an extra hole punched for a snug fit.
