Draft saddle fit isn't always simple. Broad, flat backs and wide shoulders mean even a saddle labeled "draft" or "wide" can bridge, rock, or leave gaps. This budget-friendly English correction pad gives you a way to fine-tune the fit you have, adding support right where your saddle and your horse don't quite meet.

Four felt shims are included, two for the front and two for the rear, and they slide in or out as needed. Use the front shims to lift a saddle that sits low over the withers, or the rear shims to level one that tips back. It won't fix a saddle that's truly the wrong shape, but it can smooth out a lot of the small fit issues drafts are known for.

The pad has a durable brushed cotton quilted top and a plush fleece underside. The fleece is soft and cushioning and handles sweat well, and it runs a bit warm, which is a nice bonus for cold-weather riding. Girth and billet straps help keep it in place under your saddle, and vertical nylon web straps give you an easy place to pin or magnet an exhibitor number.
