The oversized, edge-free lozenge spreads contact evenly across the tongue -- particularly useful for the larger, more sensitive mouths common in draft horses -- while the hanging-cheek design lifts the bit away from the bars so it can't be pulled through the mouth.
That stability makes it a strong option for draft horses with worn teeth, or a gentler alternative to full cheek and eggbutt styles for younger, more sensitive horses. German silver construction develops a mild, sweet taste over time as it gently oxidizes.
